Valentine Mug Rug..........

This great design is from Sweet Pea Designs.     I joined in the January sew a long and really enjoyed it.   There were hundreds of mug rugs.  It was good to see all the different combinations of fabric and cotton used.  There was another one for February but I didn't have time to make it as it was a much larger project with 22 hoopings.  I used my Singer for this Mug Rug and it stitched out beautifully.  The main reason that I bought the Singer was for the bigger hoop.

Dishwasher Tags .....

This great In the Hoop design came from Urban Threads, a site that has fabulous Machine Embroidery Designs. Quick and easy to make.   I made a few so I can give them to some of my family and friends who have dishwashers. On the back of the tag I glued a magnet so that it can go on the door of the dishwasher and you just have to turn the tag to clean or dirty. A really great idea, Thanks Urban Threads.

Just for Fun!!!!!!!

Just for a bit of fun I decided to embroider on Toilet Paper . It is a wonderful for a gift for someone who has everything or just for a bit of a joke.   The the embroidery design came from Goodies by Gail.   She has lots of designs there for all different occasions.   Also  a fantastic idea for a First Wedding Anniversary which is Paper.

While visiting my daughter for Christmas I noticed that she had hung the wall hangings that I had made many years ago.  I would have made two of each, as I always give the same to my son.  I had forgotten all about them.  That is the reason that I keep my Blog so I can keep track of the things that I have made over the years.   I look back on the year and think I haven't made much  but when I look through my Blog I see all the things that I have made and feel quite proud of my achievements.

Christmas Decorations along the Road !!!!!!

We decided to visit my Daughter who lives up in the North of Australia in a small town of Bowen for Christmas. We took the inland route instead of the coastal road as there would be less traffic.  Along the way I noticed that some of the farmers had been putting decorations on the road that leads into their farms. This was a lovely idea and it also gives the kids something to look for when they get bored..  I only managed to snap a few and there were lots more that I missed.  Not quick enough on the camera. My favourite was the Santa just sitting in the paddock. .   By the time I saw the display and I aimed the camera, we had passed.  I was happy that I managed to get some..   Awesome idea.  Well done to everyone that took the time to put up a few decorations for Christmas.

Mug Rugs!!!!!!!

The main reason that I bought my Singer Embroidery Machine was that I wanted to make bigger In The Hoop designs.  Here are 2 Mug Rugs that are from Sweet Pea Designs.  Love her designs.  Again my Singer Machine is doing the right thing and stitching beautifully.  I think that I am going to enjoy my Singer Machine a lot more now.

Christmas Tea Towels.........

I have been trying to get my Singer Machine to embroider correctly.  I got it back from a service about 2 months ago but I didn't have time to sit and play.   Last week I decided it was time. I think I have got it sorted.   The back of the embroidery even has some of the bobbin fill showing.  By the look of these photos I am extremely happy with my machine.

Secret Santa......

Every year at our Patchwork Breakup we have a Secret Santa.  I received these two beautiful Angels.
They are gorgeous.  When I was checking my facebook feed when I got home from the luncheon, the same two Angels popped up so now I can give you the link so you can make them too..    Merry Christmas.

Sewing Machine Ornament........

Aren't these little felt Sewing Machine Ornaments just gorgeous. I couldn't resist the temptation to make some.   I got the pattern from Betz White.  Very easy to make and I used tiny beads instead of doing french knots  for the knobs on the machine.  Even made the little spool of thread.  So happy with how they turned out.

Joining the Squares.........

I have finished the 20 blocks and now I am joining all the squares together. This was my first time at joining squares, as you go.  The directions were very easy to follow and you can find them here.    After I finish joining the squares I will be putting a border around  all of the rug.  I feel very pleased with what I have achieved  as I am only learning to crochet.

Snack for Santa Wall Hanging.......

I made this little wall hanging for my grandsons to put up when Santa is visiting on Christmas Eve.. I hope Santa enjoyed his snack.  It wasn't a big project and I  embroidered  the message " Enjoy your Snack, Santa" onto black fabric and the stitched it onto the background fabric and covered a small canvas using staples to hold it altogether at the back,  added some decoration and boys loved it.  I hope Santa does too.
