Towels......

Towels I did for a friend. She just wanted the initial in a large font.   I chose Black Chancery 5 inch from Jolson's.   As you can see they stitched out beautifully.  Each design took about 25 to 30 mins to stitch out.

Christmas Stars !!!!

Loved making these Christmas Stars. The design is from Memories in Thread and very easy to make.
I made the fronts out of vinyl and put felt on the back.  The vinyl stitched out perfectly and will do more with the vinyl in the New Year.   So very cute to give as gifts or hang on the Christmas Tree.

Embroidery Designs....

Just doing some of the Embroidery Designs that I have accumulated over time.  Just putting a few designs on some tea towels.  I have always liked nice towels in the kitchen and these are perfect. I never get sick of doing embroidery and seeing how the designs come together.

Poinsettia Placemats.........

Decided to try something a bit different.  I had these placemats and they are made from a sort of hard plastic.  I held them in the hoop with tape and thought that a open design would work best.  I found this Poinsettia design in my stash and it was just perfect.  Wasn't sure how the machine would work on this sort of plastic.  I even put on a pair of glasses just in case the needle broke, but never had a problem.  Stitched out beautifully and will look great on the Christmas table.

Embroidered Cards.....

I made these beautiful cars on my Embroidery Machine. The design came from M.O.M. Mastering Our Machines.   It is a facebook group and has a lot of different ideas  and uses for the Embroidery Machine.  These cards were for people who were suffering from Cancer and just need some encouragement. Anyone can join. So many different ideas for using embroidery. I made a couple into Birthday Cards by putting their names on the card.

Cat Scissor Case...

These little cat scissor cases are so darn cute.  Just a very quick project  and it does only take a few minutes to stitch out. They are an ITH Machine Embroidery Design  from  Kay's Cutz   I did these ones in felt but they could also be done in vinyl.

Blanket for a Baby Girl........,

Finally something for a baby girl..  My daughters friend had a baby girl and she asked me to embroider something for her.  I found this gorgeous design on Etsy called Baby Oliphant.  It stitched out beautifully and looked so pretty.  I am sure she will love it.

Christmas T Shirts !!!

This is a bit late but I made these T Shirts for Christmas 2018.  The two size one t shirts where
very hard to do and I had to sit and hold the shirt for the whole embroidery process.  Not sure where the designs came from but decided I should use some of the ones I had in my stash instead of buying new ones.  The Dachshund  one came from Urban Threads and was for my grandson who has a Dachshund for a pet.  he thought it was great.  All designs stitched out beautifully.

Crochet Rug for my Daughter......

Something girly this time.  While I was in Bowen looking after my Daughter for 3 months as she was recovering from Thyroid Cancer, I made her this rug.   I ran out of wool and a lovely lady from New Zealand sent me a couple of balls.  I also did the pattern in three different colours just to make it a bit bigger.   The pattern is called the Virus Blanket and the directions are very easy to follow.

Flowers ....

Over the Christmas Patchwork Break someone suggested that we make these flowers and swap them on our first day back at patchwork so that everyone ended up with one flower from each person.  We also had to put our name and year on it too.  I managed to get mine all done but as I am not into hand work the lady that runs the Patchwork Group also has an Embroidery Machine so she had the digitized which made it a bit easier for me.   So now we have to make all the flowers into something for judging in a few months time.  Will have to get my thinking cap on for that.

Book Covers.....

When I was In Bowen helping my daughter I meet some of her beautiful friends that have also been helping her. I decided to make them a book cover with a diary as a thank you gift,  I also made Cooper one for his Teacher.  The Book Cover design was from Kreative Kiwi and the  designs on the front came from Stitch Delight and the Apple was just in my stash.  I was very happy how they turned out and the book covers came with very easy to follow directions.

Crochet Rug........

Another rug I finished for one of the boys. It took me a while to work out this wave design,  but I just sat and watched You Tube and finally worked out where I was going wrong.   We are so lucky to have learning tools like You Tube to be able to learn from.   I am trying to use up some of my stash.  It has been too hot at the moment for crocheting but will get back into it when it gets cooler.

Doily Competition

Last year we had to make something out of a doily for our patchwork group.  I had always wanted to make a dream catcher, so that is what I did,  The second picture has some little fairy lights in it but they are hard to see in the photo.  The ladies came up with some very different and beautiful ideas, all worthy of a win and I managed to get a 3rd. I was happy with that.

Aprons for Folk Dance Group.......

After a very stressful 2018 I have decided it is time to try and get back to normal or as close as I can in 2019.   I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and with the operation over, I have started Chemo.
I made 12 Aprons for the Folk Dance group that I belong to. I was so pleased that I was able to do this for them as they are such a lovely bunch of ladies.  The Tulip was done on the embroidery machine and I then made up the aprons.  The sad part was that I never got to wear the aprons, maybe down the track I will.
