Quilow

This is a quilow I made for one of my grandsons. I bought this horse panel many years  ago before they started making nice things for boys. I have one more panel to make into a quilow, it has jungle animals on it. A quilow  is a quilt that folds up into a pillow. It is a great idea.

Small Hexagon Bag

All the hexagons in this bag where sewn together by hand.  I then did the stippling on the embroidery machine and put it together on my sewing machine. It is really cute.  I don't do much hand work but  this is something that I will be able to take in the caravan when we are travelling,

Hexagon Bag

This is the start of a large hexagon bag.  I have them all cut out so now I have to stitch them together.
This one will be stitched on the sewing machine.  A bit harder than I thought it would be. Maybe easier to do by hand.

Monday 23 May 2011

This is a shirt I did for Cooper for Easter. The bunny is appliqued on the embroidery machine and I just added the words. Cooper is my youngest grandson and is a real little boy now so no more baby stuff for him.
Why do they have to grow up so fast.

Easter Hunt Bag

This is an Easter Egg Hunt Bag I made for  Isabella.  It was made with heat transfer paper using my printer.  This was the first time I had used this paper and was very happy at the way it turned out.    Isabella  loved it.

Easter Bunnies

These are my 5 gorgeous grandsons.   Thomas, Kellen,  Matty (back row) Nathan and Cooper in the front.
Cooper is the youngest and will be 3 on the 16th September.

Birthday Presents for Matty and Thomas

I made these as part of their birthday gifts.  The towels are trimmed with motorcross material( Matty and Thomas are into Motorcross) on one end and on the other I put their name ( so they can't fight over whose towel belongs to who ).  I also got them a water botttle each and made a bottle cover for each with their initial on it .
Thomas will be 7 on  the 20th May and Matty will be 14 on the 3rd June.
Of course I made the bottle covers  on my embroidery machine. All done in one hooping.

Playfood Cupcakes

I made these felt playfood cupcakes for the markets last week end.  They sold like hot cakes.  The top of the cupcake was made on the Embroidery Machine and decorated by hand and then put into a small silcone cupcake base.  Good enough to eat without the calories.

My Gift from Karen In America

This purse soooo Beautiful. It is in pink and lime green patchwork , my favourite colours.  The colours all match perfectly and the lace is stunning, the picture does not do it justice.   Thank you Karen I really love it. This was a purse swap organized by Cookies and Cream Craft.  This was my first swap and I really enjoyed making the swap and also waiting for mine to arrive.

Gayle

This is the email I recieved from Karen in America.

Hi Gayle!

I received the WONDERFUL gift in the mail today!  Wow!  It's absolutely beautiful!  I've already showed it to my quilting buddy Patti, who is also doing a trade in the group with someone from Australia.  I even took it to show to my 85-year old sweet mama today, too!

The flower is perfect for it and it really makes the look complete.

Many, many thanks & I really appreciate it.

I hope you receive yours soon & that you like it just as much!

Take care now~

Your quilting friend in the USA, Karen.

I am so glad that Karen liked the purse. I forgot to say that the flower was also made on the embroidery machine.
