Christmas Tea Towels......

A couple of hands towels that I embroidered.  I like to have a few items on hand that might come in handy for Christmas gifts.  Love how they turned out.

Table Runner..

Another gift for the gift box, a table runner that I did embroidery on each end. Also had this design for a while.  I am really loving using some of the designs that I have had for a while.  I used a wash away stabilizer for the backing and a water soluble topping.  I also used a Christmas overlay in photoshop.

Teachers Gifts.....

I did a few little gifts for teachers and found these lovely sayings and put them on tea towels. Not sure where the designs are from as I have had them for quite a while.

Santa Magic Key Door Hangers.....

How cute are these Santa Magic Key Door Hangers.  I got them from Etsy. I stitched them out on vinyl and was really happy with the way that they stitched out.  I will be making a lot of things with vinyl as it is so easy to work with.  I think the grandkids will be happy with the Santa door hangers so the big fat man can get in through the door as not many houses have chimneys here..  I also used  some Boken overlays in photoshop for the background.

Graduation......

The last couple of weeks I have been in Bowen visiting the grandkids and seeing my second eldest grandson, Kellen graduate.  I am so proud of this young man and hope that all his dreams come true.

Tea Light Angels...

I love these little tea light angels. I made both  girl and boy ones.  Again something to put away in the gift box.  I got the In The Hoop Design from Embroidery Garden and also used a snow overlay in photoshop

Bags.....

I have had these two bags for quite a while now and thought it was time to do something with them.  I already had the flowers that I had made from Embroidery Garden. They were an In the Hoop Design and you just go around in a circle and stitch the petals on till you get to the centre.  For the Centre I mixed up some tiny black beads with some glossy accents that I use for scrapbooking and it set hard and shinny and it looked really great.  The leaves were also from Embroidery Garden and I used Texture Magic and that makes the leaves shrivel up when heat is applied.

Zebra Bags........

Since we will not be using  plastic bags from the big chain stores after Christmas. I decided to give the females in the family a tote bag  with  this gorgeous Zebra design on it.  It was a free design and I am not sure where I got it from. They look so pretty all done in different colours.   The bags are from Target and  they have a design on the other side.  At first I was going to try and cover the design but then I thought why not just put the design on the other side and that way I am not so limited with what design I can use.. The bags are strong enough to hold groceries. I really love the way this design turned out..  I found the design here but you have to join the site to be able to download.

Baby Boy Sprinkler Set>>>>>>

I made this baby boy sprinkler set  for the baby shower that I went to for my great grandson, who will be born in December.    It was a cute little set to make.    The design is from Embroidery Garden and had very clear instructions.   I made the baby rug. I am only beginner at crocheting  and I was happy with how it turned out.

Tea Pot Coasters....

The Tea pot Coaster are a Birthday present for my friend, Trish.    The design was a freebie from Kreative Kiwi.   They are very easy to stitch out and the instructions are very easy to follow. The cup saucer and plate belonged to my mother and as a little girl growing up it  was my favourite and I always used to look at the pretty things but never allowed to touch.  I was lucky to get to keep that little bit of my mum.

Jogger Bags......

I love making these bags from Disorderly Threads  Although I thought they would be a bit bigger as I bought the biggest design as I now have the large hoop.    I used the shinny vinyl for the shoe and found it very easy to work with.  I made these bags for my two youngest grandsons Thomas and Cooper.   I keep  thinking I will run out of things to make now the boys are getting older but I always manage to find something.  I am also practicing a bit of Photoshop as well using the Sparkler overlays.

Towel for my Sister.......

Very happy with how this turned out. I have a lot of fonts to pick from but the J always looks funny. This one was perfect and I love all the swirls The name  the font is  Sarah from Stitchtopia. I used the 3 inch font.  Loving my new machine with the larger hoop. I was impressed with the way it stitched out. I used water soluble stabilizer on the back of the towel and also a water soluble topping and I pinned the towel in the hoop rather than trying to hoop such a large towel.

Cushion for Teacher.....

I told my 9 year old grandson that I would make him something to take to his teacher, Mrs Fitzpatrick  for a Christmas Present. Once again this was something that I had always wanted to make..  Her favorite colour is that pretty aqua blue so I am sure she will love the cushion.   The cushion fabric has some of the aqua  colour on it as well.  The front part of the cushion is a pocket where you can put a book or anything else you might need.  There are lots of different sayings to put on cushions and they are all gorgeous. I bought the design from Memories in Thread and it stitched out without any problems.....

Birthday Shirt...

A shirt to match the towel for the Birthday Boy. I wished I had used vinyl now so the car would be lovely and shiny but thought it would be too heavy but I think it would have been ok as I would have only used a small piece..  Both the towel and shirt are on their way to Bowen and should arrive in time for the birthday next week.  I keep thinking I will run out of ideas for boys but something always seems to pop up when I need it.  I bought this design here and it stitched out beautifully.  I would also like to thank Katrina for adding the number 9 to the design for me. I think it looks great.

Hooded Towel...

My first time at making a Hooded Towel.  This is for my youngest grandson Cooper who loves McQueen from the movie Cars. I also wanted to use something shiny for the car so I got some vinyl.
Not sure of how this would work as I had never used vinyl before and it was so easy to use .The design came from My Silly Geese and there are heaps of designs there to choose from.  I can't wait to give this to Cooper.

Patchwork Quilt !!!!!

Finally finished after about 2 years.  The design is from Sweet Pea and all of her designs stitch out great.  There are 192 x  5 inch squares and 120 of the triangle border blocks.   I had to bring my sewing machine out to the kitchen table to put the quilt together.   Once I started I decided to get it finished.  There was a lot of push and shove getting the quilt through the machine.  It was to have a scallop around the bottom of the quilt but decided against as it would have been too hard to get a nice even scallop, so I decided to bind it.  The quilt is for my grandsons 21st Birthday, I hope he likes it.

Baby Towels !!!!

I loved this machine embroidery design as soon as I saw it.  I have been waiting patiently to hear if my first great grandchild will be a boy or a girl.  Finally found out that the baby is going to be a little boy so I now I can start making baby things.  The Ellie Elephant design  is from Stitch Delight and stitched out beautifully.

Tea Towel Embroidery

Just some Machine Embroidery on my new DreamMaker  Brother Machine. It is stitching beautifully and it even cuts the jump stitches. It certainly makes a difference not having to cut all those jump stitches.  Lots of designs, the camping one is from My Darling Designs, the other were from Urban Threads and Gina Grace Designs..

Roses, Roses Everywhere......

Now I have the bigger hoop I have been practicing and decided to do the leg of a pair of my jeans.... I had to unpick the inside seam of the leg so that the fabric could be hooped.   The Rose  design is from Urban Threads.   I used the 7x12 hoop and the design took about 7 hours to stitch out.  It was done in three hoopings.  There is another Rose at the top that is not visible...  I can't wait to wear them out somewhere.

Drink Coasters.......

I loved making these coasters, once I started I couldn't stop.  A very quick and easy design to make.  The design is from Kreative Kiwi and is made In the Hoop on my Embroidery Machine...   I am loving my new Brother  DreamMaker Machine.

Wrist Pin Cushions.....

Once again when I see a design I want to, make it, I want to make everything.  Another easy project and just loved making them. Not sure how someone could put a pin in those beautiful ladies.  If I didn't have to do other things I would never leave my sewing room.   These gorgeous wrist pin cushions will probably be gifts for my sewing friends.....

Pot Holders.....

When I saw these pot holders I just had to get the pattern.    So cute the cat looking out the window.  Now I have the bigger hoops I can make all these sorts of things.  I really enjoyed making the pot holders,  It was another quick and easy project.  All done in the hoop with about 2 inches of hand stitching where the pot holder is turned to the right side.
