Bunny Reading Cushion

I decided to join a Sew a Long to get me back into sewing mode.  We were given five designs to pick from and I thought I would do the Bunny for my Great Grandson Laken's first Birthday which is not till December.  I already have a set of Australian story books for him.  So now I have one Birthday out of the way for the year.  These reading cushions are really easy to make it just has a pocket on the front to put the story books.

Another Cushion.....

Another cushion I made for the sew a long.  When I saw the design that we could use I knew immediately that I was going to make it.  I already had the key fabric and it was so perfect for the design.  I used the 7 x 12 hoop for this design.  Also this year I said my New Year resolution would be that I would use the fabric I have in my stash and not buy any more.  I do hope I can stick to it. Not sure who this one is for yet.   It was wonderful to win a prize for this cushion in the sew a long and it brightened my day.

Cushion for Teacher.....

I told my 9 year old grandson that I would make him something to take to his teacher, Mrs Fitzpatrick  for a Christmas Present. Once again this was something that I had always wanted to make..  Her favorite colour is that pretty aqua blue so I am sure she will love the cushion.   The cushion fabric has some of the aqua  colour on it as well.  The front part of the cushion is a pocket where you can put a book or anything else you might need.  There are lots of different sayings to put on cushions and they are all gorgeous. I bought the design from Memories in Thread and it stitched out without any problems.....
