Easter Basket..................

An Easter Basket for Cooper.  I bought some baskets in a group buy and wasn't sure of what I would get.  They  are a lot bigger than I thought, Cooper is going to get a lot of Eggs in this Basket....   I don't know why I thought that they would be cotton but they are a plastic type of material with a sort of nylon lining... I was happy with what I got.     I just put in in the hoop with tearaway and hoped for the best.   I had no problems at all.    I thought that the plastic might tear but it didn't.   I still have a couple more left and as the other boys are too big for Easter Baskets I will keep them for when I need to give a gift.   I can fill them with whatever is needed at the time........
HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE EASTER

Easter T Shirt

A great design for a boy, I am now finding that there are a lot of designs for older boys and loved this one as soon as I saw it.    It stitched out beautifully but I had a bit of a problem with the hoop on my machine.  I hope I have it sorted now, The design came from So Cute Applique.  You will find lots of  great designs there.   I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Easter.......... I am looking forward to visiting my grandkids after Easter..........

Decoupage Fabric Photo Frame.........

I wanted to try something a bit different the other day so I decided to revamp an old photo frame. I used fabric and craft glue. I was really happy with the way it turned out for my first attempt.....

Embroidery Machine Cover..........

Finally I have finished putting the hexagons together and now I have a beautiful cover for my Embroidery Machine.  I had no pattern it was just pin .  put on machine and cut till I got the shape that I liked.  I put a frill around the bottom  and an In the Hoop Rose from Bobbins for Applique, just to pretty it up.  I made the leaves freehand on my sewing machine. I had one small piece left so I decided to put it on the back, and it is just big enough to hold the cord.  I had to use every single bit of the hexagons after spending so much time putting them together.

Hexagons!!!!!!

After spending months making hexagons I have finally put then together.  I was going to make two large cushions for my swing chair on the veranda, but after seeing how quickly the other cushions faded I decided that after all that work I would make something that would last  a bit longer.
I decided to make a cover for my Embroidery Machine.

             .

This is the all over stippling design I got from Susa Glenn Designs. I also bought myself  a Monster Hoop which has made the hooping a lot easier. I am in the process of putting the Machine Cover together.  I love the idea of In the Hoop quilting, all the stitches are so even, I could never do this freehand.

Australia Day T Shirts..........

I found this great design  at Annes Embroidery. Just perfect for our Australia Day.. It stitched out beautifully.  I hope my grandsons enjoy wearing them.  I used press and gone on top of the shirt and after I pulled the excess away I just put a hot iron on the design to remove the rest.  I find it a lot easier to use. then the water soluble stabilizer.

Footy Zippered Bag .............

Another Bag from Disorderly Threads.   I needed a bag for my 14 year old Grandson, Kellen.  I thought  this would be good for him.  All made in one hooping in the hoop, even putting the zip in and no raw edges inside.
I just love the way these bags turn out.

More Zippered Bags............

I am getting addicted to these ITH zippered bags from Disorderly Threads. I made these for my Grandson who love to dress up as Fireman Sam so the fire truck was a must and his Poppy has a Red Tractor so I knew he would love that one as well.  Once again all made In the Hoop on the Embroidery Machine. with no seams showing.  Just a bit of  hand sewing where you turn the bag inside out.  Must follow the directions because if you don't open the zipper at the right time you can't turn the bag.  I found that out the hard way, nothing I could do, the bag was completely finished and I couldn't turn it to the right side.  Lesson learnt!!!!!!!!

More Christmas Angels ....................

More Christmas Angels, this time I used the other pattern with the eyes closed and a different dress. I put dark hair on one for a friend who has dark hair.  She loved it.  The design is from Oma's Place and the Angels are made in three hoopings and then put together

Fun with Toilet Paper !!!!!!!!!

A great idea for a bit of fun, Embroidering on toilet paper.  Does seem a bit weird, doesn't it.  A awesome  gift for someone who has everything or just for a laugh.   You can use any 4 x 4 design as long as it is not too dense.  Goodies by Gail sells designs  specially digitized for toilet paper.  You will find something for every occasion.   Have a go you will be surprised how easy it is.

Christmas Tea Towels.................

I embroidered some Christmas Tea Towels to have on hand in case visitors stop by over the Christmas Holidays.  I really love the little house which was off a Brother Embroidery Card.
I have decided to go through my cards and use them as they have some great designs and I never think to use them. So maybe a New Years Resolution instead of buying more designs on the internet.

Snow Ball Fight.........

A brilliant  idea from Embroidery Garden, Lets have a Snow Ball Fight.  The balls are made from white fleece fabric and the cute faces are embroidered and the balls are stuffed with toy filling
Living where I just can't pop down to the shops to get sewing supplies, I found some off cuts of white fleece that I had kept and I managed to get 2 sets of balls.  I was happy to finally find a use for some of my scraps as well as to have a great gift for the grandkids..........

Christmas T Shirts ..........

My grandsons are getting too old for T Shirts ( that's what they think) so this year I only made for the two youngest, Cooper aged 6 and Thomas aged 10.  These great designs are from Urban Threads .  I really loved how they turned out as they are not too heavy for the T Shirt fabric.. These designs where stitched on a Singer xl 400 in a 6 x 10 hoop.
