Origami Purse Pattern with Step by Step Instructions
For this project you will need:
- 2 fat quarters, or eigths for a smaller sized purse.
- Shoestrings, ribbon or cord of choice
- Thread of course and hopefully a sewing machine.
Although this purse could probably be easily whipped off by hand as well

Pictured here are purses made from 9-10 inch squares..
Please check this site out.  This is what I will be doing when I get a bit of free time.  It looks really easy.  Let me know how you went if you decide to make one.

Water Bottle Holder/Cooler

These water bottle holders are all made In The Hoop and are very easy to make. They are lined to keep the  water cold.  The floral one is for me. I don't keep much for myself as I give most of the things I make away, and the red one will be for one of the grands. A friend did the design for me and it looks really great.

My Masterpiece ( Forest by Night)

I made this wall hanging in 1994. I can't believe that it was that long ago. All the flowers are 3D and were all made as separate flowers and than added to the wall hanging. The white pieces represents the moon and the moon rays, and the green part was all pieced together. I spent many hours making these flowers but it was well worth the effort. It measures 180cm x 160cm. It has pride of place in my sewing room. I entered it in the Jubilee Quilt Show and received the Runner Up Prize.

Quilow for Thomas

I made this quilow for Thomas last year for his birthday when he was 6. The centre of this quilt has a large panel of a John Deere Tractor.  I went out to Blackwater for motorcross and he was sick with a bad virus.  He spent most of the day lying down with his quilow.  He still managed to ride in his motorcross races.  The little ones just do it for fun there are no winners..

Towels for Mum

A couple of towels I did for The Mother's Day Markets.  The colours are not showing up properly.
The towel with the brown writting is a really nice beige and the other towel was a darker shade of blue.
They turned out really nice. A great present for mum.

ID Holders

I needed an ID Holder for work so I made one for myself and a couple more for the markets.
They are really cute, there is a place for the ID and another zippered part for a bit of change or keys.
There are many uses for this wonderful little zippered pouch.  Of course it was all made In The Hoop  and just turned inside out when finished.

Hexagon Bag

This is the bag I made from the rectangle of hexagons that I showed you a few days ago.  The pattern was very hard to follow. I put a zippered pocket and a small pocket for my mobile phone on the inside lining.  The lining has a zip accross the top of the bag, this will stop thing from falling out.  I was really happy with the end result.  I have been doing patchwork, quilting and applique for 30 years and this is the first large bag that I have made. Maybe another 30 years before I make another one.

Tea Towels for Mothers Day

I embroidered on these tea towels for the Mothers Day Markets in May.  The tea towels have a edging of lace on the bottom
