I finished the Christmas placemats I started on the FNSI in June. I used the idea I found on The Crafty Quilter. I like to get my mitered corners as perfect as I can and found the tutorial using the mitered corner tool really a great way to achieve this. Thanks to Bobbi and Heidi for arranging FNSI so I can get some of my UFO'S finished. I have already cut another six placemats from the same fabric and will probadly have enough fabric left to make a table runner. I might have to put my sewing on hold for a while as I have to do a Pharmacy Course over the next couple of months.

Felt Flowers!!
Using my Big Shot Machine I cut out a lot of Felt Flowers in different colours. The cutting die I have has one large, one medium and one small flower shape and also a daisy shape. Using a hot glue gun I joined the three flower shapes together to form a flower and while the glue was hot I cupped the flower in my hand to give the flower some shape. I cut the shank off some buttons and glued them to the centre of the flower and glued the flowers to a Macro bag I purchased from Woolworths for $2.00. Thes bags have a design stenciled on the front and you can still see the trunk on my bag. I just cut out random leaves and glued them on also. I think I am going to enjoy this machine.
