I would like to share with you all a photo of my father who served in World War II on this ANZAC Day, 25th April 2012. He passed away five years ago at the age of 84 years. We miss him a lot and are vey proud of him.
FNSI was very special this month as it was for an organization called Conkerr Cancer - Giving sick kids a reason to smile one pillowcase at a time -. I made two pillowcases hoping that they can help to put a smile on a childs face. I would like to thank Handmade by Heidi andCraft Vegas Mom for organising this wonderful challenge.
This is a T Shirt I embroidered for my youngest grandson for Easter. I only have grandsons and I am always looking for designs suitable for older boys. This design is from Urban Threads and they have some great designs for boys of all ages if you like something a little different.
Once again I am doing something different, Hand Embroidery WOW !!!!. I am really enjoying it. I found a little book that I had bought many years ago. It is called 100 Embroidery Stitches and has a lot of photos with a great explanation of the stitches. I have been trying very hard to get the stitches right. I am getting better as I do more. I have made two lavender sachets and a doiley for Christmas Presents. These great patterns by Cheryl Goss are free and can be found at Willowberry Designs.
