Towel for Jacie

I embroidered this towel for a friend who has three grandaughters.  She gives each grandaughter a towel for their birthday with their age on it.  I suggested something a bit different this year. I hope that they like it.  I believe Miss Jacie is not really a Princess, so they say!!.  I think all little girls are princesses.  This is a thankyou  for looking after my cat and garden when we go on holidays in a couple of weeks.  I will do the other two when we get back from holidays as their birthdays are not until December..

Pillowcase Swap

I made this pair of pillowcases for a swap that I am in. I have wanted to try this design for a while so I thought it was perfect for the pillowcases. It was all embroidered on my embroidery machine. The lace skirt was stitched on a water soluble material and than when it is washes away it just leaves the lace. The lace skirt has 30,000 stitches  and the rest of the design another 15,000 stitches.  They will be going to America. I hope that my swap partner likes them

Cooper's Quilow

This is a quilow I made for Cooper out of what was left over from the quilow I made for Thomas.
I was even able to use some teddy bear fabric for the backing.  Now that made me happy because it was probadly my last chance to use it, as Cooper is 3 now ( he is a big boy).  I like to use fabric out of my stash.
All that was left to do was the binding which I did last night for the FNSI.
This is the quilow folded up into a pillow.  Being a real little boy I am sure that he will love it.

My Sprocket Pillow

This is what I am going to make my sprocket pillow out of.  I had these cut out for a project that I was doing  about 10 or more  years ago. I knew I would use them one day. They are not quite big enough for the cushion that I want to make, so I will have add bits here and there to make it fit.  We are off to Townsville to watch the Cowboys and Broncos game on friday night and than back to Bowen on saturday to watch the grandsons play footy. So I will get into this when I get home.  I am still thinking about what colour to add.

Motorcross

I used this great layout for my eldest grandson Matty. He has be doing mototcross for a few years now. Mororcross is a very dangerous sport and he has already had a couple of accidents. He has been flown to Brisbane with back problems, luckily it was not as serious as first thought. He also broke the growth plate in his foot ( never heard of that before). The brown, gold and green in this layout is perfect for boys and great for using a lot of photos.

Family (Scrapbooking)

Scrapbooking is another passion of mine. I think it all goes together, patchwork, embroidery and scrapbooking. I love going back and looking at photos from the past. I am making an album for my kids going back as far as I can so they will have some family history before it all gets lost. At the moment this is their great grandparents. I am doing some family tree research but it takes a lot of time. This is a photo of my sister (aged 3) and myself ( aged 12 months) I am only guessing the ages. The colours in this layout look really great and the lattice work wasn't that hard.

Flip Flop & Bow Hair Clippies.

                                                           Cute. Cute, Cute!!!!!
What more can I say, again done In the Hoop on my embroidery machine.
They look gorgeous, I am having lots of fun making these hair clippies.
These hair clippies are a bit different as the clip is put into the back of the design so you don't see the clip at all.

More Felt Hair Clippies

More felt hair clippies. All made in the hoop on my embroidery machine,   Some of these are for a special order. My hairdresser lets me put the felt clippies in her shop and they are selling really well.
This is where I get a lot of my designs from.......
